Reserve items in the catalog

  1. Go to our Online Catalog page.
  2. Under Full Catalog Access, enter your User Id and pin and click Login!.
  3. Search for your item.
  4. Click the Place Hold button.
  5. Verify that the pickup location is correct and click Place Hold.
  6. On the confirmation page, click OK and then click Home to do another search.

Renew checked out items

  1. Go to our Online Catalog page.
  2. Under Renew Items , enter your User Id and pin and click Renew.
  3. Check off the items you'd like to renew and at the bottom of the page click Renew Selected Items.
  4. Check the confirmation page to see if all selected items have renewed.

Download books, audiobooks, music, videos, or articles


Download books, audiobooks, or music

  1. Go to our Overdrive page.
  2. Review information on page. Run the tutorial or read FAQs for detailed instructions on downloading books and music.

Note:

Download video

  1. Go to MyLibraryDV and install the manager (one time install).
  2. Go to the Channel Guide and select from the programs.
  3. Click Download and confirm the download.
  4. Click Play.

After the manager has been installed, you can always startup MyLibraryDV by double-clicking the MLDV icon in the notification area of the taskbar.

Browse newspaper articles

  1. Go to our News & Journal Articles page.
  2. Click on either:
  3. ...and follow the prompts to enter your library card number.
  4. For Massachusetts Newsstand, instead of entering a search, click on the Publications tab, click on the newspaper title, and click on the date desired.

Find magazine articles

  1. Go to our News & Journal Articles page.
  2. Click on PowerSearch Gale Databases.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter your library card number.
  4. At the search page, enter in your information (article, title, or subject keyowrds), check the button for All Cross-Searchable Products and click Search.

Reserve a museum pass

  1. Go to our Museum Passes page.
  2. Click Book a Museum Pass Now!
  3. Go to your date and click Request Pass.
  4. Enter your library card barcode number and pin (last four digits of phone number).
  5. Follow the prompts until you get a confirmation that your pass has been reserved.

Use Worldbook Encyclopedia

  1. Go to our Worldbook Encyclopedia page.
  2. Click the link to login.
  3. Enter your library card barcode number when prompted.
  4. Enter your search words and click Search.

Find Biographies

  1. Go to our News & Journal Articles page.
  2. Click Biography Resource Center.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter your library card number.
  4. At the search page, enter in your information and click Search.

Find journal and magazine articles

  1. Go to our News & Journal Articles page.
  2. Click on PowerSearch Gale Databases.
