Donations to Seekonk Public Library support essential library programs and services for our community throughout the year. 

There are many ways to offer your support through tax-deductible contributions:

Gently Used Books & Materials

The Friends of the Seekonk Public Library accepts your gently used material donations for ongoing fundraising sales. Materials must be clean and undamaged, in re-sale condition. Items include materials for adults, children and teens:

  • Hardcovers & Paperbacks
  • Picture books and puzzles
  • Magazines (not older than 3 months)
  • DVDs (featured movies & tv programs) in original containers
  • Music CDs

Due to disposal issues we cannot accept:

  • Nonfiction older than 5 years
  • Magazines older than 3 months
  • National Geographic magazines
  • Abridged/condensed books & audiobooks
  • Textbooks/Workbooks/Encyclopedias
  • VHS and cassette tapes

Local recycling/donation resources for unaccepted materials include

  • Savers (books & media in good condition)
  • Town of Seekonk Recycling (magazines, paperbacks only)

All donated items become the property of the Friends of the Seekonk Public Library.

Planned Giving

Legacy monetary gifts from individuals, corporations, or estates to the Library Trust support the long term needs of the library. More information is available on the Library Trust page.
