Seekonk Public Library and Seekonk Parks & Recreation invite the community to participate in Scarecrow Fest, a creative celebration of the fall season. Starting September 5, individuals and families can register to reserve a free at-home scarecrow kit, available for pickup beginning September 19. Each kit includes stakes and hay to build a frame, while participants provide their own clothing and finishing touches to make their scarecrow unique.
Completed scarecrows will be displayed on the library’s front lawn beginning Saturday, October 3 and remain on display through October 24. The community will have the chance to vote for their favorites in three categories: Traditional, Humorous, and Artistic. This free program is a wonderful way to showcase creativity and celebrate the season together. Registration is required and supplies are limited.
